Position Summary: 

Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties:
  • Update and reconcile payment poster user balancing sheets          
  • Reconcile cash deposit to lender reports and prepare any necessary deposits for courier
  • Balance daily inventory          
  • Update Daily Balancing Spreadsheet and perform reconciliations contained therein         
  • Run necessary bank reports required for reconciliation and payment processing  
  • Run and review pool integrity and integrity audits   
  • Review and research outstanding items on bank reconciliations and make necessary adjustments to clear these items. This includes corresponding with the bank to gain support for any bank adjustments or posting discrepancies 
  • Perform and prepare bank and due client reconciliations    
  • Assist when needed in any other departmental functions   
  • Record returned checks into unclaimed property database and request reissues as needed
  • Reconcile account (customer refund check reconciliation)   
  • Assist with general ledger account reconciliations
  • Provide Treasury with any necessary wire or transfer requests       
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility

Professional Experience/Qualifications:        

  • Associate’s degree or higher in business or accounting required.
  • Team oriented
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Windows 98 or higher, Excel and Outlook is required. 
  • Familiarity with Access and Word a plus; familiarity with SAGE 500 or equivalent accounting software is preferred.
