Position Summary: 

The Senior Manager, Application Development will manage information technology teams and information technology projects. The individual will have knowledge of various development methodologies including agile, and will have experience supporting modern web and data-processing applicationsKey Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

Provide leadership and direction for various delivery teams to ensure execution on the new business model at PRA Group.

Makes decisions in alignment with objectives that have a direct and profound impact on the division or the organization. 

Develop and provide in depth and senior management level reporting on KPIs on systems performance, service level agreements, incident and problem management 

Accountable for leadership and oversight of the delivery of solutions to the client / user / customer.

Develops and manages resources, development, and non-project and/or project costs.

Daily monitor and support for the production system(s), provide crisis management support when required and facilitate disaster recovery planning and exercises for assigned systems 

Monitors all activities that involve teams and people within area of responsibility.

Reviews and oversees overall resource utilization and allocation across span of control.

Coaches, mentors and develops peers, direct reports, and others within and across teams. 

Provides constructive feedback and serves as a role model.  Motivates and inspires people to do their best work.

Enables an environment of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.

Identifies, directs, and delivers communication messages using a variety of vehicles based on the audience and the content.

Draws together and synthesizes business, technical, and functional knowledge to create solutions and identify the possibilities for the clients / users.  Initiates discovery or pursuit activities to scope and evaluate new ideas.

Has a breadth of knowledge about business in general and seasoned, in-depth, multi-dimensional knowledge of industry and company.   Maintains relevant and current technical or functional knowledge in support of solution delivery.

Guides the creation of formal business agreements (e.g. SLA, SOW) with clients.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage exempt and non-exempt employees in the Information Technology department. Position is for responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of current staff. Carry out supervisory responsibilities according to the organization’s policies, practices and applicable laws; identify and provide career growth and training opportunities for employees; evaluate individual work quality; complete appraisals and disciplinary actions.
Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in IT or related field and seven plus years related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, change control, and release management processes.
  • Be able to independently manage/participate in all aspects of Production Support.
  • Senior Level Experience as a manager supporting delivery teams of greater than 10 team members.
  • Multiple years of demonstrated success leading software development teams.
  • Experience coaching a range of technical talent for success.
