Position Summary: 

The Records Analyst is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Records & Information Management (RIM) function to ensure integrity, accessibility, protection, and appropriate disposition of official Company records and other business information. Tasks performed will be associated with the implementation of and compliance with the Company’s RIM program.Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Stakeholders to review, update, and maintain physical and electronic record retention schedules.
  • Continually assess the RIM program, benchmarking against industry standards and best practices, to ensure appropriate information governance standards are met.
  • Create, classify, organize, index, and maintain physical and electronic records using the Company’s records and/or document management systems. Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Interact with document management service vendor as directed by Data Governance Manager.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, including, but not limited to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), data privacy, and information security trends.
  • Participate in local and/or regional professional organizations to network and maintain current knowledge of RIM activities and techniques. Share relevant knowledge with Management and RIM team when appropriate.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reporting on compliance and program status to Management and RIM team.
  • Work closely with Data Governance Manager to develop and implement new procedures in accordance with established policies. Recommend changes to including, but not limited to policies, equipment, storage, automation enhancements, and relationships based on program needs.
  • Work collaboratively and maintain excellent working rapport with Business Stakeholders to implement and ensure compliance with the RIM program’s policies and procedures.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university.
  • Experience working with or applying record management/retention policies and practices is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, including MS Office suite; proficiency with MS SharePoint and Enterprise Vault preferred.
  • Knowledge of consumer collection industry practices.


  • Detail and process oriented with strong organization skills.
  • General knowledge of records and information management methodologies is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects with competing and changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Must be able to work and act decisively independently and as part of a team.
  • Must show initiative and be willing to take ownership of projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service approach with all levels of Company personnel.
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in a collaborative office environment, in an individual work station, using telephone and computer.  Employee may be required to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
