Position Summary: 

Day-to-day responsibilities of PRA's Payroll's Analyst will include:

•Proactively find inefficiencies in processes and suggest process enhancements, document suggestions and present proposals to management
•Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues due to data variances
•Test enhancements and upgrades to the payroll module before their release to make sure processes run accurately and efficiently
•Maintains payroll system setup including earnings and deduction codes, internal structures, limits and business processes and processes up to date
•Partner and support the Benefits’ Department with a deep understanding of the cross-functionality between the Benefit and Payroll modules, including support during open enrollment
•Works closely with HRIS team to enhance or implement solutions and resolve payroll anomalies
•Ensures all payroll data is processed consistent with established laws and internal policies, guidelines and controls
•Compiles data from personnel and payroll records and prepares advanced level reporting, both regularly scheduled and ad hoc
•Liaison with Finance to streamline processes, resolve variances and provide data
•Examines employee files to answer payroll inquiries and provide payroll information to authorized personnel
•May work with local/state/Federal/foreign authorities to support internal and external audit request

We are looking for Payroll Professionals who possess:

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with the Workday Payroll Module
  • Must have in depth knowledge of how Payroll interacts with the entire Business Process: New hires/Terminations/Benefits/TimeKeeping/Compensation/Absence Management
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be skilled in use of analytical tools including Excel
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide timely resolutions to complex problems
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and process documents

Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers and printers in operation. The office environment is an open work space with individual work stations configured in a team area. The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate. The incumbent may be required to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
