Position Summary: 



The HRIS Analyst I is responsible for production support, data management, data integrity and reporting for the Human Resources department. The position will support all Human Resources functions; including HR, payroll, compensation, benefits, recruiting, talent management and training. Responsibilities may include tasks related to the implementation of enhancements to the Human Resources systems, to include analysis, design, development, testing and deployment. Additionally, this position will serve as an auditor, ensuring data integrity. This position will work under minimal supervision.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Participates as a project team member with minimal direction and supervision.  Follows plans to accomplish specific goals given a set amount of resources and set time frames.
  • Takes ownership to continually assess business needs and implement measures that will ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded by enhancing system capability and performance.
  • Develops process enhancements, manages issues resolution and delivers reporting for the business.  Exercises good judgment in use of coding standards and technical documentation.  Works effectively with multiple types of reporting tools. Performs complex queries for analysis and reporting.
  • Writes, revises and verifies functional test plans and scripts.  Participates in multiple phases of testing, to include performing complete system and user testing cycles.
  • Monitors system functionality and performance to ensure standards are met.  Documents and tracks product defects and coordinates problem resolution with development and/or product vendors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR applications and interdependencies.
  • Creates and delivers presentations on specific system related topics.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of degree(s)
  • 1-2 years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience required
  • 1 year of HRIS experience preferred
  • Experience with Workday, ADP and similar HRIS systems preferred
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general workforce
  • Must be able to use analytical tools, including Excel
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree.  Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of degree(s).
  • Minimum of 2 years HRIS related work experience.
  • At least 1 - 2 years related Benefit and/or Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
