Position Summary: 

The primary focus of the Compliance Specialist is to work with business units to ensure policies and procedures are drafted to accurately reflect their current process. This position works closely with all levels of the organization and must be able to communicative effectively both in person and in writing.
  • Work with business units to ensure policies and procedures are drafted to accurately reflect their current process by ensuring all necessary stakeholders are included, provide feedback on the document, and all comments/questions are addressed. Manage the Peer Review and Approval workflow process via SharePoint for all policies, procedures, trainings, manuals, and user guides.
  • Provide weekly status reports to management and business units, track and maintain approval dates and annual review calendars for all policies and procedures.  Collaborate with the SharePoint Administrator and work with business units to troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage the Annual Policy and Procedure Acknowledgment by working with Training and Communications and providing accurate reporting to business units throughout the acknowledgment period.
  • Draft compliance-related updates for the company newsletter, develop and manage the quarterly compliance departmental newsletter and manage the content for the compliance page on the company’s intranet site. 

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing the creation and development of policies, procedures, and/or related information.
  • At least 1-3 years of related and pertinent work experience. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint.  SharePoint experience is a must.
  • Must have effective organizational, communication, time-management and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Must have superior written, verbal and oral communication skills.


Occasional travel may be required.
